What can I do to help...?

Our rescue group, is supported by voluntary donations. If our 'Dale stories have moved you, please give a few dollars to help us give rescued 'dales in need the medical care they deserve. Loving donations have helped rescued dale's get back up on their furry paws. We can't offer enough thanks to our supportors who continue to give generously.

We focus on rescue in the southern United States. Specifically we cover Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, North and South Carolina and assist in neighboring states.

Adoption requires a home visit, therefore we are best networked in our home area.

Airedale Still Missing in Memphis

We’re still hoping to find Mitch (also known as Murray) in Memphis.  He pulled out of his collar while on a walk on Christmas Day and ran into the street and was hit by a car.  We do not know how badly he was hurt; he kept running.

Despite the efforts of his foster mom and many other caring people searching, hundreds of flyers being posted, ads running in newspapers and online, Murray still has not been found.  And, we’ve had no credible sightings.

We hope that he has been found and is safe and warm in someone’s home.

Please keep in mind that many rescued dogs can be easily startled and are often confused and unsure of themselves and their new surroundings.  Many rescue-savvy people have suggested that with any foster dogs or newly adopted dogs, it is wise to use a double-collar, double-leash system until you are comfortable that your dog will not try to escape.  And we know that Airedales will run when given the opportunity, even the best-trained ones.

Keep your Airedales safe and know what to do if they get lost.

Will

Age: 6 years old
Sex: M
State: GA

I'm soooo tired of waiting for a new mom and dad. I'm Will, a 5-year-old neutered male purebred airedale terrier. My owner has had some health issues which have made it difficult for her to care for me. I'm a really good boy -- very active and playful (when I'm not getting my beauty rest). And terribly smart, so my foster mom says. I'm up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and housebroken. I do well with other dogs as long as they are playful and sweet. I like girl dogs best but I do lives with another male now and am fine. I was born with a shallow socket on my right hip. I'm playful and active and not bothered at all by my hip. I'll do best in a home with a person who has previous airedale experience and who understands that I'm headstrong and intelligent and need a good fence. I'm a really sweet guy who just happens to also be a terrier. :-)

Or email for more info.
