Dale Tales: Various Adoption Stories

We have many successful adoption stores of dogs who were given up on because of their behavior or a change in their owner's lifestyle. Here are a few:

Whose sandwich is it?

Brie was given up at 1 1/2 years old because she was said to be destructive. She was in a family with two small children. I had just lost my first Airedale, Tyler. Brie was a rescue from Joey Fineran, Delaware Valley Airedale Rescue Group, PA. Brie was very un-Airedale like; quiet, calm, and obedient. She adopted the pink wing chair looking out of the patio door and watched the world go by. We called her a "wiggle-wiggle dog" because she was always so happy to see anyone. Her biggest fear was a thunderstorm One time I had the stereo up so loud, neither Brie nor I heard the large tree fall in the backyard.

Over the years she accepted and mothered a 10 month puppy, Bentley who also came from Joey. Brie was a faithful, loving companion. At eleven or so, we lost her this year to pancreatic cancer but her heart will always be with us. (Bentley makes his appearance on the home page)
Honest, my dog ate my homework...
Mixer beaters were made for lickin'
All I want for Christmas is a forever home (and she got one)
This license plate says" I love my Great Dane" Who could love anyone more than fuzzy face?
Did you know that the soil in the south needs to be aerated? Good job for Jude, the gardening dog.
