The Airedale Rescue Group focuses on rescue in the southern United States. Specifically we cover Georgia, Kentucky, Alabama, Tennessee, North and South Carolina and assist in neighboring states. As a courtesy, we list Airedales for other rescue groups. If you do not see an Airedale listed for your state, it does not mean that there are no Airedales available. Please contact the closest volunteer listed on the volunteers page to inquire about available Airedales.

Sadie           Age: 2 years old Breed: Airedale Sex: F   Contact: State: TN   Email: mcprange@aol.com             Sadie is a southern charm of an Airedale. Estimated to be between 1 - 2 years old. She is very shy and timid so she is looking for a careful and patient home to adjust to life together. She is a little girl at under 50lbs. She does well with other dogs.

Annabelle           Age: 2 years old Breed: None Sex: F   Contact: Christina State: TN   Email: mcprange@aol.com             Back in Rescue due to issues with the small dogs she lived with. Originally, Annabelle was dropped off at a shelter by her owners. She's young, around 2-3, and very very shy, although she's really come out of her shell since we first met her. She likes being inside and likes her crate a lot. It takes her a while to warm up to folks -- she's eager but cautious about strangers still, even after fostering. She's a pretty pretty girl, loves to run and play, and even plays well with small dogs sometimes, although she is NOT small dog safe. According to her owner, who is crazy about her: "This is the most loving dog I have ever had. She wakes me up in the morning with a snuggle and just can't get enough loving and attention. She is still shy and jumps at strange sounds, but loves to play. She deserves more than I can offer right now, and will make someone a great companion." Berkley           Age: 9 years old Breed: Airedale Sex: M   Contact: Christina State: SC   Email: mcprange@aol.com             Nine years old and flying high! Berkley is a vivacious Aire-boy who loves attention. If you give attention, he gives gentle love kisses in return. This sweet, high-energy boy needs patience and discipline to learn the manners that will make him a wonderful companion. Berkley boards at a local kennel and has bonded happily with everyone there. An ARG volunteer visits with him on weekends and says he’s so sweet and just loves to have attention, love and pets. He is mister snoopy and acts like a puppy getting into things like purses or bags looking for cookies or treats. True to the Airedale breed, Berkley is mischievous, active, and playful. He recently took a plane ride and enjoyed seeing the sights in his role as co-pilot! Berkley is fit, trim and a very fine dog. He has beautiful soft wheat coloring and always a big smile on his face. Berkley needs to be an only dog with no cats or children. With love and consistent obedience training, Berkley will settle into a routine as your loving companion. Berkley's adoption fee is $100.

Winchester           Age: 4 years old Breed: Airedale Sex: M   Contact: Christina State: NC   Email: mcprange@aol.com             Winchester is a Mama's boy-a big, sensitive laid-back couch monkey- sweet and wants to be with his people, likes to do tricks, catch balls and treats-very sympathetic to his sister Arrington when she cries/howls (he joins in and then they both stop). He grooms her ears for her when needed. He is good with older kids. He loves scrambled eggs and raw carrots for treats. He is crate-trained for the day and sleeps on the couch or chair at night. He was hand-stripped for his first 2 years and has been regularly groomed the last 2 years. Winchester loves to ride in the car and go places and is happiest when his family is at home and he just gets loved on. He will go outside in the yard and just relax in the sunshine. He does well alone but really wants to be with his human family and Arrington his sister. Winchester is typical Airedale - he has chewed household items and will occasionally dig in the yard. He does not know his own size and would knock over smaller children in his excitement. He does not like his feet touched and can be scared of new objects. Natalie           Age: 3 years old Breed: Airedale Terrier Airedale Sex: F   Contact: Christina State: NC   Email: mcprange@aol.com             Natalie is so sweet and loving. She found her way to a horse farm and decided to see who lived there - she was so hungry and dirty and looking for people. She found wonderful people and horses and lots of dogs to befriend! Natalie began her beauty make over and dulled a pair of scissors in the process! She did not care - she was so relaxed and fell asleep snoring while her new friends began to clean her up. Natalie is a smiler when she sees you - have you seen a dog smile? She really does! Natalie is estimated to be 3 years old. She is 55 lbs and could gain some weight. A photo will be posted once Natalie is bathed!

Lucy           Age: 1 year old Breed: Airedale Sex: F   Contact: State: NC   Email: mcprange@aol.com             Lucy is a lovely young Airedale. She is just over a year old and still has the active mind and energy of a puppy. Lucy is approximately 50 lbs. She is a beautiful girl with a pitch black saddle and gorgeous red/tan legs & head - one knock out of an Airedale. She enjoys spending time with her family but would need to live in a home with no young children. She will need an energetic and active owner with strong leadership abilities. She needs a structured household. She does not do well with all other dogs, especially on a leash walk. Experienced Airedale owners are preferred.

Arrington           Age: 4 years old Breed: Airedale Sex: F   Contact: Christina State: NC   Email: mcprange@aol.com             Arrington is very energetic, feisty and loves to be played with and exercised. She enjoys playing catch with a tennis ball, loves tug-o-war, and likes to play chase with her humans and her Airedale brother Winchester. Although high energy, she also loves to lounge when worn out and to be loved on. She has always had a great relationship with Winchester, although she gives him a hard time when he gives out before her when they play. Arrington is very much a social dale and does very well around people in public settings. She loves scrambled eggs and raw carrots and her mouth is extremely gentle when she takes treats from your hand. Arrington and her brother Winchester have grown up together and ARG would like to keep them together if at all possible. Please contact Christina with questions.

Alexa One           Age: 9 years old Breed: Airedale Sex: F   Contact: State: NC   Email: mcprange@aol.com             Alexa is a lovely 9 year old girl who enjoys being with her very own person. This 50 pound beauty takes her time to let you into her heart, but she will captivate you with her quiet charm. Alexa has been diagnosed with mitral valve disease, which means her heart valves don't function at their best. Will           Age: 6 years old Breed: Airedale Sex: M   Contact: State: GA   Email: mcprange@aol.com             I'm soooo tired of waiting for a new mom and dad. I'm Will, a 5-year-old neutered male purebred airedale terrier. My owner has had some health issues which have made it difficult for her to care for me. I'm a really good boy -- very active and playful (when I'm not getting my beauty rest). And terribly smart, so my foster mom says. I'm up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and housebroken. I do well with other dogs as long as they are playful and sweet. I like girl dogs best but I do lives with another male now and am fine. I was born with a shallow socket on my right hip. I'm playful and active and not bothered at all by my hip. I'll do best in a home with a person who has previous airedale experience and who understands that I'm headstrong and intelligent and need a good fence. I'm a really sweet guy who just happens to also be a terrier. :-)

She loves to be right in their eyesight all the time. Being inside with her family - including two other dogs, is what she enjoys the most. She does like to go outside and run and play and get exercise. She is a champ at getting out of a fenced yard though! She is very smart and remembers where she gets out each time. That should not surprise anyone who knows an Airedale as they are very smart and can get bored easily. Sweet Pea is house trained and sleeps during the day when the parents are at work. Sweet Pea should not live in a home with small dogs and or any cats.

Hannah           Age: 8 years old Breed: Airedale Terrier Airedale Sex: F   Contact: Christina State: GA   Email: mcprange@aol.com             Hannah is a survivor after fending for herself for months on the run. Once in the loving arms of humans who cared for her, she quickly reverted back to being a normal house dog who enjoys car riding and pets and hugs. She is very sweet and has a good demeanor and nice gentle natured. Hannah will be in foster care but is seeking a permanent home. She is an easy girl who enjoys the luxuries of a home again.
