Rudy

Special Needs Airedale needs forever home. Rudy has been in foster care for months. He is currently with 4 other dogs, however, his energy sets one of the others off at times.

We are asking you to look into your hearts and help give Rudy the best life possible. Rudy is a gentle, loving male Airedale (about 50 lbs, estimated 7–10 years old) who has had a hard start and now needs a kind, patient person or family to call his own.

Rudy is blind from progressive retinal atrophy and has a painful hip, but his medical care will be fully covered by ARG. What he needs most is a safe, calm home with soft footing, a secure yard, and someone who will love him for the sweet, devoted companion he is.

He is affectionate, loyal, and eager to bond. His foster can no longer keep him, and we are hoping his forever family is out there.

Rudy is currently in SC. We will consider adoption outside of our region with the approval of the other regions coordinator.

No cats or farm animals. Older children only.  He must have a traditionally fenced yard with a 6 to 8 ft tall fence.

Apply to adopt or if you are an approved adopter in AL, GA, NC, SC and TN, please email info@airedalerescuegroup.com.  Adopters from nearby regions (VA, KY, FL) will be considered with an approved adoption application and agreement from your regional coordinator.

Buck

Buck is a fun-loving, almost 3year-old, 70-pound pup who's housebroken and up to date on his shots.  Buck recently moved to a farm, and he is getting in trouble chasing chickens and goats and biting at them.  Sadly, he has to find a new home.

Sam would thrive with an experienced Airedale owner who can provide leadership without being too dominant. He needs a secure traditionally fenced yard 5-8 ft tall), and his adopter should be diligent about keeping gates closed.  He does well with both male and female dogs his size.  Cats and small dogs are not recommended.   He has lives with children ranging from less than 1 yr of age to 14 years.

Sam - Adoption pending

Sam O. is a fun-loving, almost 2-year-old, 70-pound pup who's housebroken and up to date on his shots He is  microchipped but twill require to be neutered in a foster-to-adopt home. He's heartworm negative and on preventatives. Sam's good with cats, though he might get a bit too playful. He's a bit picky about his dog friends but gets along well with a neighborhood Jack Russell Terrier. A calm, non-dominant dog would be a great buddy for him.

Sam was surrendered because his previous owner's autistic child accidentally let him out, and they were worried about his safety. Sam loves gentle contact but isn't a fan of hugs or having his collar grabbed. He's anxious at the groomers and vet but is a good car rider. One of his quirks is that he can open jars and doors!
