SAM

Sam is a handsome 6-year-old Airedale currently thriving in a professional training program.

Sam will be looking for an Airedale-experienced home that understands structure, consistency, and leadership, and will continue the routines he’s learning now. Sam will benefit by bring the ONLY dog in the home and having consistent rules to live by.

If you love the intelligence and spirit that make Airedales so special, stay tuned — Sam may be your guy. Sam is in TN.

Hazel is a young female Airedale found and sheltered in GA with a litter of 7 puppies. Sadly, one pup did not make it. There are 3 females and 3 male pups almost ready for their new homes.

Hazel is seeking a loving home willing to dedicate time to help her learn to live in a home. She needs potty training. Elsie is estimated to be about a year old, is heartworm positive, and needs to be spayed. She is available as a foster to adopt due to her medical needs. She is located in SC.

Hello everyone! I am Frank the Dale! And I am in the Airedale Rescue Group and hoping to find a new home with someone who knows how us Dales are. So, in other words, an Airedale-experienced home.

I am 8 years old and pretty playful and I know the basic commands like sit, paw, and gentle, and I have been getting some professional training to learn boundaries and how to be a good boy. I am pretty sweet, but not a big cuddler. I like to be petted but not on my face or head. And I like to chill on the floor or a big dog bed, so make sure you get me a nice one (or more) if I am going to be part of your family!

I have many wonderful qualities but sometimes need that redirection to learn not to bark at everything I want. I have been around cats and small dogs without chasing them and in at my trainer's home, I have learned to get along and play some with her bigger dogs. I LOVE my walks and can get a little antsy when I want to go or feel a bit understimulated and will do a bit of barking, but my trainer is helping me overcome that, and since I am 8, it doesn't take much to tire me out sometimes, and my joints can be a little stiff. I am a great eater and not too picky, but I have to be fed separately from other dogs to make sure there are no issues.

I do like to play with toys, especially with a ball! I am crate trained, but when I am ready to get out, I will let you know! I can be pretty silly at times. So, if I sound like the perfect addition to your family, and you are experienced with us Airedales, please apply for me! I am ready to come home to you.

Pearl in NC

Pearl is a wonderful dog who would thrive as the only dog in the home. She does not do well with small dogs, and her compatibility with dogs her size is unknown. She guards her food and crate from other dogs, but not people.

Pearl is a six-year-old, 100-pound spayed female. A grain-free diet without chicken or beef cleared up her itchy nose and ears. She eats 1⅓ cups of WholeHearted Grain Free All Life Stages Lamb and Lentil Formula dry food twice daily.

Pearl has lived with two adults and teenagers. She is sweet, cuddly, and protective, barking when someone comes home. Crate-trained, she stays in a wire kennel when alone and is comfortable for four to six hours. She may pull on the leash, cooperates during grooming, and dislikes car rides because they upset her stomach.

Pearl is deeply affectionate and loves being close—on your lap, near your face, or seeking attention. She rings bells to go outside. With consistent practice, she walks well on a leash, though missing more than a day can set her back. She senses illness and will snuggle all day. Though she plays only when inspired, she is great fun. She rarely chews but has destroyed a few shoes in six years. She has sweet eyes, a big heart, and knows “sit,” “down,” “shake/paw,” and “kiss.” She will visit the dog park but prefers walks and shows little interest in other dogs. Even new wall art can stop her in her tracks.

Pearl fears thunder and fireworks and seeks comfort by snuggling, using her crate, or hiding under a desk. She also dislikes car rides and may need coaxing into the car. She pants and drools but has never been sick. She loves standing on her hind legs for hugs and stops when reminded, though excitement may make her hop like a bunny. The family is devastated but believes this decision is best for Pearl and the two small dogs in the home.
