Lucy
Lucy is a sweet and energetic dog who loves to walk, run, and hike. She is 7 years old and 55 labs, vaccines need to be updated. Lucy is crate-trained, on anxiety meds, a joint supplement and has had some training. She's a good eater, loves car rides, and is always excited to meet new people. Lucy eats Canidae all life stages ancient grains, 2 cups per day. She is good on leash and tolerates grooming.

She's great with male dogs but doesn't get along with small female dogs, especially the resident Scottish terrier. Lucy has had a few fights with the terrier, resulting in some bites and even an emergency vet visit. Her latest issues were around food with a dropped item, so she is considered a resource guarder. Feeding separately and carefully managing, giving treats or access to the kitchen where food is being prepared is highly recommended. With young kids at home and another on the way, her owners are rehoming her for safety reasons.
Despite her issues with small dogs, she's incredibly sweet and just wants to be everyone's friend.

Dusty - Available in May
Seven-year-old, 55 lb. Dusty, AKA Duchess, is still searching for her forever home. She was recently spayed and will begin heartworm treatment. Dusty will be available to move to her new home in mid-May.
She is playful and loving and does not need or want to be a social butterfly. Dusty prefers a quieter home life, a fenced yard, a warm ray of sunshine, and a new toy now and again. She completed training in the Orlando area having worked on general obedience, leash pulling, and lunging at other dogs and doing very well but will need to be the only dog in the home.

She is wonderful in the home with her humans, housebroken and loves to be on her dog bed looking out the windows and playing with toys. Dusty is crate trained and does have separation anxiety and would love to have someone around most of the time. She needs to be in an experienced, Airedale loving home with no other animals, where she can thrive.

Sam - Adoption pending
Sam O. is a fun-loving, almost 2-year-old, 70-pound pup who's housebroken and up to date on his shots He is microchipped but twill require to be neutered in a foster-to-adopt home. He's heartworm negative and on preventatives. Sam's good with cats, though he might get a bit too playful. He's a bit picky about his dog friends but gets along well with a neighborhood Jack Russell Terrier. A calm, non-dominant dog would be a great buddy for him.

Sam was surrendered because his previous owner's autistic child accidentally let him out, and they were worried about his safety. Sam loves gentle contact but isn't a fan of hugs or having his collar grabbed. He's anxious at the groomers and vet but is a good car rider. One of his quirks is that he can open jars and doors!

Sam would thrive with an experienced Airedale owner who can provide leadership without being too dominant. He needs a secure fenced yard, and his adopter should be diligent about keeping gates closed.
